Happily earlier success has now made it unnecessary for Roger to paint to a client's order unless the subject intrigues him, nor does he follow popular commercial trends.

His has been a varied life encompassing Farming, The Merchant Navy, plus the Entertainment and Fashion Industry. This wealth of experience is reflected in the variety of his works.

"Colourful and Interesting" (Turner Contemporary) is the one constant in his work, which ranges from Emotional Reaction to the Humorously Symbolic.

Perhaps unfortunately some 6 years ago Roger lost the central vision in both eyes, which made it necessary for him to adapt his technique to this limitation, thus creating a style which is both original and recognisable.

Roger's works now are hung throughout the world, including Ireland, Spain, Portugal, America and, of course, the UK, and what is also a matter of pride for Roger, is that they are also displayed on Media Personalities' walls, as well as the offices of London Diplomats who use them as a visual comment on the unjustness of this modern world.

Roger's works range from £200 to £1000s and he occasionally exhibits in the Canterbury area. He is always interested in commissions that allow his interpretation of the subject, which is painted without obligation should it not please the Patron.
